General Meeting Notice

You are cordially invited to attend a General Meeting of the Fremantle Volleyball Club. The primary purpose of this meeting is to discuss and decide on the adoption of the Model Rules for Associations.

All club members are encouraged to attend, as your input and vote are important for the future governance of the Fremantle Volleyball Club.

Additional Information for the Special Resolution
The adoption or modifications of the rules of an association (also known as the constitution) may be undertaken only through a special resolution. The following information is provided in accordance with rule 52(d) of the Model Rules.
The wording to the proposed resolution is as follows:
That the Fremantle Volleyball Club adopt the Model Rules for Associations as prescribed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA), effective immediately, and that the Secretary be authorised to lodge the necessary documentation with Consumer Protection to give effect to this resolution.
The resolution is intended to be proposed as a special resolution. A special resolution is passed by 75% of the members who are eligible to vote and actually do so in person (or by proxy or postal vote) at the meeting.
Members may appoint an individual who is an ordinary member as a proxy for the meeting in accordance with rule 53 of the Model Rules. If you would like to nominate proxy for this meeting a completed copy of the Appointment of Proxy Form shall be submitted via email no less than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting. A copy of the Appointment of Proxy Form and further details are available on the Fremantle Volleyball Club website.
